Chernobyl 30 Years After Nuclear Disaster

It is now 30 years since the world was shocked by the Chernobyl reactor meltdown at the Nuclear Plant in Ukraine, then part of the USSR. On the 26th April 1986, the worst nuclear accident (in terms of cost and casualties) occurred. One of the main reactors experienced a huge power increase, and radioactive material was expelled into the atmosphere.

There was a fun fair in town when the accident occurred. It still stands today.
